Biker In ‘Postcards for Peace’ Journey
by Sujatani Poosparajah

Suhaimi Joleman will be spreading Malaysia’s message of peace and goodwill to the world by distributing 60,000 postcards written by Malaysians to those he meets on his inter-continental solo motorcycle journey starting on August 9th. He hopes to cover Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Mozambique before ending his journey in South Africa.

Suhaimi, who hails from Kedah, Malaysia, and manages an outdoor adventure consultancy company, will fly from Kuala Lumpur to Istanbul where he will begin the first leg of his journey, the "Into Europe" tour, on his BMW R1100 GS to London.

Addressed to the citizens of the world, the peace messages will be conveyed via postcards with the sender's information and contact details serving as "conduits of friendship".

"It's my contribution towards peace and understanding among citizens of the world", he said at a Press conference this week.
